LILIENFELD GALLERIES

Bogdanovich was exhibited in a group show at the prestigious Lilienfeld Galleries in 1941. Followed by a One-man show in 1942; and another Group show, “Ten Gems of Modern Art” in 1943, with Segonzac, Utrillo and Vlaminck.

Bogdanovich was repeatedly and favorably reviewed by the foremost critics of the time.

The renowned art historian WALTER PACH (1883-1958), who championed the cause of modernism in this country, wrote an exemplary review included in the 1942 one-man show brochure.  Excerpt:

...There are always people to say that a given moment is not the right one for art.  We may well be grateful to Bogdanovich for saying so clearly through his pictures that the present moment is one when art is as necessary as ever it was or ever will be.     Click HERE for full Review.
